FAQs
Frequently asked questions for candidates
We answer the most frequent questions from people about to take an Evalart test: how it works, what happens with the time limit, and how your data is protected.
During the test
How do I take an Evalart test?
You'll receive a link by email, or the recruiter will send it to you directly (sometimes with prior registration). Just follow it and answer according to the on-screen instructions; you can move between questions using the "Previous/Next" buttons or the question index.
If the test includes programming questions, it's worth reading the specific section on how the code editor works beforehand.
Can I use the internet or ask for help while taking the test?
No, unless the question itself explicitly says so. The purpose of these tests is to measure your actual knowledge, not your ability to look up the answer, and using outside help when it isn't allowed can be flagged as a fraud risk in the report the recruiter sees.
What happens if I run out of time?
The test is evaluated based on what you've answered up to that point. If the timer reaches zero, the system will ask you to confirm you're finishing; if you close the browser before that, the test is logged as abandoned.
The remaining time is always shown on screen, and there's no way to pause the timer once a time-limited test has started.
Can I pause the test and continue later?
You can only resume it if the tab closes by mistake before you finish, using the same original link. Once you mark it as finished, there's no going back: there's no "save and continue later" button.
How do I answer programming questions?
You write the code in the built-in editor and can run it to validate it, in the language each question asks for, before moving on. Don't modify the predefined variables unless you want to test another scenario; if you do so by mistake, the refresh button restores the original code.
What do I do if I can't open the link or it shows as expired?
First check that the link is correct and that the test is still active, and that your browser and connection are working properly. If the problem persists, contact the recruiter who sent it to you: an expired link can't be reactivated from the candidate's side — that's an action only available from the recruiter's panel.
Results and retakes
Can I see my result when I finish the test?
Generally not: the result is seen by the recruiter, not the candidate. Some tests do show their own report when you finish, available in your candidate portal.
If your test includes it, you'll be able to see it as soon as you finish, with no need to request it separately.
Can I retake a test I already completed?
No. Once finished, the test can't be restarted on your own. If you had a real technical issue during the test, the recruiter is the one who needs to restart it from their panel; when it's restarted, your previous result is lost, since it's a new test, not a continuation.
Privacy and the hiring process
Is webcam monitoring safe? What do you do with it?
The images are used solely to verify your identity and detect fraud, and they're handled in encrypted form. They're only manually reviewed if the system detects something irregular; if nothing suspicious comes up, no one ever reviews those images.
Can I drop out of a process and apply again later?
No. If you choose "I don't want to continue," the decision is final and you won't be able to re-enter that specific process. You can still take part in other, different selection processes with the same recruiter or company in the future.
