FAQs

Frequently asked questions for recruiters

We answer the most frequent questions from HR teams and recruiters about how to evaluate candidates with psychometric, technical, and aptitude tests on Evalart.

Pricing and plans

Does Evalart have a free plan or free trial?

Yes. The free plan lets you evaluate up to 5 candidates at no cost and without a credit card. It includes anti-fraud measures and email support.

It's a real plan, not a feature-limited demo: it runs the same evaluations as a paid plan, just capped on candidate volume.

How does pricing work? Do I pay per candidate, per test, or per plan?

Pricing is calculated per candidate evaluated, not per individual test or per account user. There are two options: a monthly subscription with credits that renew every month (cancel anytime), or a one-time credit pack valid for 12 months.

The subscription makes sense if you hire regularly, since the price per candidate is lower; the credit pack is better for one-off or occasional hiring processes, since you pay once and use it over a full year.

Can I change or cancel my plan at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan whenever you need to. Charges or refunds are prorated based on the change made during the billing cycle, and there are no forced minimum commitment periods on the monthly subscription.

You can also switch between modalities at any time — for example, moving from a credit pack to a monthly subscription or vice versa — and those who already have a subscription can add a one-off credit pack to cover occasional hiring spikes, without needing to upgrade their plan.

What happens if I need to evaluate more candidates than my plan includes?

You can purchase an additional credit package or upgrade to a higher plan, without losing your history or the evaluations already in progress.

The plan change is immediate and doesn't interrupt open selection processes.

How is the invoice or payment receipt delivered?

An immediate receipt is generated upon payment, along with a final invoice downloadable as a PDF, in US dollars, from "Account → Plan → View payment history." It works both for one-off purchases and for managing purchase orders on corporate annual plans.

About the tests

What types of tests does the catalog include?

The catalog covers four families of tests: psychometric, aptitude, knowledge, and programming. This includes personality and cultural fit, logical, verbal, and numerical reasoning, languages and role-specific technical knowledge, and more than 15 programming languages with real code execution.

You can also create custom tests, and freely combine them within the same evaluation — for example, aptitude, programming, and personality for the same candidate in a single submission.

How does Evalart prevent a candidate from cheating?

Evalart combines several automatic mechanisms to prevent fraud during the test. This includes webcam monitoring and screen recording, copy-paste blocking within the exam, identity verification at the start, and AI-based detection of unusual objects (phones, notes, headphones) or a second person in front of the camera.

Each of these signals is logged, and the system assigns the candidate a fraud risk level that the recruiter can manually review before making a decision. This doesn't guarantee zero fraud, but it does provide objective evidence instead of relying solely on the recruiter's suspicion. If nothing irregular is detected, there's not even any need for manual review: the system only surfaces evidence when something stands out.

What happens if a candidate doesn't end up taking the test or doesn't finish it?

If the candidate never started the test, the credit is automatically refunded and can be reused for another candidate. If they leave it unfinished, it's left in an "expired" state with whatever was answered up to that point, and the recruiter can restart it to give them another chance.

Restarting it discards the previous result, unless it was downloaded as a PDF beforehand.

Do the tests work on mobile or only on computer?

Yes, tests are 100% compatible with mobile, tablet, and computer. The candidate just needs a stable internet connection to respond from any device, which reduces friction in high-volume processes with candidates who don't have easy access to a computer.

Account and team

Can I add other users to my account with different permissions?

Yes, at no extra cost: you can create users with different permission levels. Evalart has three roles: Admin (full access), Editor (everything except changing the plan and users), and Viewer (read-only access to tests and reports).

This is useful for separating who can view results from who can manage the account or the billing plan.
