Database Administrator (DBA)
We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to lead our company in managing critical and complex databases. This person will be responsible for ensuring data availability, security, and performance, and will work closely with other departments to ensure database solutions are relevant and effective.
Responsibilities
Administer the organization's critical and complex databases.
Plan and implement database security, availability, and performance strategies.
Monitor and maintain database integrity and ensure data quality.
Identify and resolve database performance problems and optimize its operation.
Perform data backups and recovery, and disaster recovery testing.
Collaborate with other departments to develop relevant and effective database solutions.
Create and maintain documentation for the database solution and reporting processes.
Requirements
Demonstrable work experience in database administration, preferably in high-demand and complex areas.
Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2.
Ability to identify and resolve complex database problems.
Experience planning and implementing disaster recovery solutions.
Knowledge of database security solutions, such as TDE, AlwaysOn, and Transparent Data Encryption.
Conflict resolution and effective teamwork skills.
Excellent organizational skills and analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems, or a related discipline.
