Responsibilities

Hardware Engineer or related field.

What experience do you have in printed circuit board design?
We expect the candidate to describe the different programs they have used to create printed circuit board designs and what their experience has been with each of them. In addition, they are expected to describe their level of knowledge in multilayer design, shielding, high-speed signals, and troubleshooting.
What has been your process for carrying out research and development of a new hardware product?
We expect the candidate to describe their process and methodologies used in researching and developing a new hardware product. They should mention everything from analyzing project requirements to product design and development, to implementation and testing. We expect them to describe situations in which they led or actively participated in creating a new product.
How have you solved circuit design problems to meet client requirements?
We expect the candidate to be able to describe specific examples of how they have solved circuit design problems to meet client requirements. They should mention situations in which they had to conduct a detailed analysis of project requirements and propose technical solutions to adjust circuit design and meet client requirements.
What experience do you have in designing low-power electronic devices?
We expect the candidate to describe their experience designing low-power electronic devices, including their knowledge of energy saving and energy management and monitoring techniques. In addition, they should be able to describe the methodology or process for identifying critical points in the design to achieve greater energy efficiency.
How do you keep your technical skills up to date?
We expect the candidate to describe how they continue to update their technical skills. They should mention courses, conferences, blogs, and/or other sources where they acquire new knowledge. They should detail what projects or technologies they have been exploring in recent months and how they have integrated these new technical skills into their work.
What printed circuit board design programs or tools do you master?
We expect the candidate to mention the programs and tools they master in terms of printed circuit board design. They should describe the software packages they have used to create circuit designs, along with the different technologies they have incorporated into each project to meet client requirements. In addition, they should describe their experience selecting specific software for each project.
How would you describe your ability to work as a team on hardware projects?
We expect the candidate to be able to describe their ability to work as a team on hardware projects, including their experience in leadership and participation in multidisciplinary teams. They should mention examples of how they have led hardware teams on projects and be able to describe how they have maintained effective communication with team members throughout the project, resolving technical problems and other difficulties that may arise.
