Kindergarten Teacher

At our educational institution, we are looking for a Kindergarten Teacher committed and passionate about teaching. The position requires someone who has skills to work with young children and can provide them with a comprehensive education during the school year.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate pedagogical activities according to the established curriculum.

  • Create a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment that fosters children's learning and emotional development.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and keep them informed about children's academic and behavioral progress.

  • Observe and document children's development in different areas (physical, social, emotional, and intellectual).

  • Foster creativity and critical thinking in children, through artistic, recreational, and experimentation activities.

  • Work as a team with the institution's teaching and administrative staff.

  • Perform other tasks related to the position, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Preschool Education or related fields.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the position.

  • Knowledge of using educational technologies.

  • Ability to effectively manage groups of young children.

  • Ability to work as a team and good interpersonal relationships.

  • Proficiency in Spanish and English (desirable).

  • Availability to work school hours.

  • Respect and vocation for teaching.

How do you work with parents and/or guardians of students to ensure student success in the classroom?

We hope to hear how the candidate communicates with parents and/or guardians of students and how they work with them to ensure students succeed both in the classroom and at home.

How do you address cultural and ethnic diversity in the kindergarten classroom?

We want to know how the candidate addresses cultural and ethnic diversity to create an inclusive and diverse environment that respects cultural differences and fosters learning for all types of students.

How do you incorporate play activities to foster learning in the kindergarten classroom?

We expect the candidate to be able to describe how they use play activities to help students learn effectively and how they relate these activities to the learning objectives in the curriculum.
